artist bio

Janine Scheer-Erb (JES) is a multimedia artist, writer, lecturer & game designer. Through poetry, experimental game mechanics and other ludic methods she creates work that feels close, intimate, and playful. She finds inspiration in the phenomena of physics, the observation of liminal and in-between spaces, and interpersonal interaction.

She is part of the collective for sound culture Wiener Unterton and holds multiple graduate degrees in play, games, and new media art, most recently completing a masters in Experimental Game Cultures at the Angewandte (University of Applied Arts Vienna).
